Who we are.

Oliver Granö

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

After earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, graduating with Honors, Oliver went on to study entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School. Today, he has been making films and television for over a decade, and has started-up several companies and organisations, making him well prepared to lead the way at Picture Box Co. On his spare time, he is an avid points-and-miles collector and enjoys to travel and photograph wildlife. Somethings few know about him are that he has studied Astronomy at the University of Cambridge, as well as to become a pilot, and that he has a secret love for the movie Titanic (and the ship itself, of course).

Vladi Khesin

Founder & Chief Media Officer

Directly after graduating college, Vladi was the first in his class of filmmakers to direct a feature film that would end up at major festivals, such as the Cannes Film Festival, and receive major distribution. Since college, he worked his way up the ranks through almost every department on set, making him the perfect choice to lead the productions at Picture Box Co. Before working in the media industry, Vladi studied Philology at the Moscow State University. While he claims to love movies of all genres, he has a secret passion for horror flicks, exploring the depth of human emotions. He also has a passion for good food, though that’s not a secret.

Annika Schwarz

Founder

Before setting out on her global adventures, Annika studied business management at St. Gallen University and continued her education at Harvard University. While living in Los Angeles, Annika worked in the film industry before finally obtaining her Master’s in Business Analytics and Finance at the University of Sydney. Before she began working in Investment Banking, Annika headed up the financial teams at Picture Box Co. In her free time, she is a professional skier and enjoys to sail, having coached the Harvard Sailing Club while in college. She is also known to go skydiving and enjoys the outdoors.

Green to go.

Picture Box Co. is committed to creating a more sustainable industry, and follow a variety of policies and procedures to help reduce the ecological footprint of our business as much as possible. From how we transport film crews to location, to what kind of plate lunch is served on and what we do with everything after it’s done; our decisions are made with the environment in mind.

But sustainability extends beyond the eco-friendly aspects to encompass and cover the human and social aspects like diversity and inclusion in an open environment, as well as the ethical implication of our business, and more.

To this end, we have initiated collaborations with a variety of organizations and ventures to continuously improve and develop new ways to keep our business green and sustainable, and our other production partners have been selected with care to ensure they share the same values we do.
